Kristel was amazing! I had a destination wedding Kristel came to my cabin for a pre trial and for the wedding. She has such a great personality she made me feel super calm and comfortable. I guess you could say she grounded me the day before my wedding. The makeup and hair turned out amazing. Guests who never trust anyone to do their hair and makeup were raving. She knows what she's doing. I looked the best I've ever looked. Kristel has an option where you can book her for the whole wedding day which came in useful because during the ceremony guests who had their makeup done by her were crying and needed touching up. She stayed with us while we got our photos taken and touched me up during the process. Even my husband said she was worth every penny we spent. 10/10

When Kristel Richardson founded K.Marina Beauty in 2018, she saw a gap on the Eastside: luxury bridal beauty that truly served every bride — regardless of skin tone, hair texture, or background. She set out to build something different.
Seven years later, K.Marina Beauty is a team of 11 expert artists who have been featured over 15 times in Washington Wedding Day, recognized as a Best of Finalist, and trusted by hundreds of Bellevue, Kirkland, and Woodinville brides.

I have spent nearly 15 years as a professional makeup artist, and the thing that has never changed is this: every person who sits in my chair deserves to feel seen — not just made up. That belief is what led me to build K.Marina Beauty.
I wanted to create a team where artistry and inclusion were one and the same. Where a bride with deep brown skin received the same level of expertise and intention as a bride with fair skin. Where hair texture was never an obstacle. Where the experience of getting ready was as memorable as the wedding itself.

Our goal is that your getting-ready experience is one of the calmest, most joyful parts of your entire day. We arrive prepared, on schedule, and focused entirely on you. Each artist works on their assigned clients while Kristel oversees the overall timeline. We create an atmosphere that is professional, warm, and completely stress-free.
What is the bridal trial, and when does it happen?

Your trial is a full beauty consultation at our Kirkland studio, scheduled 30–45 days before your wedding. It is reserved for booked clients only. This is where we learn your face, test looks, and lock in every detail so your wedding morning requires zero guesswork. It is as much about your confidence as it is about the look.
Do you serve brides of all skin tones and hair types?

Absolutely. Our team is expertly trained across the full spectrum of skin tones, undertones, and hair textures — including natural, coily, and tightly curled hair. Inclusivity is not a specialty here; it is our standard. You will never be asked to bring your own products.
Can I request a specific artist from your team?

You can certainly share your preferences and we will do our best to accommodate. Kristel personally assigns artists based on your look, your wedding party size, and your timeline. Every artist on our team is held to the same K.Marina standard of excellence.
Logistics & Booking
How do I reserve my date?

Your date is only secured with a signed contract and a retainer. Due to the volume of inquiries we receive — often for the same dates — we cannot hold dates informally. Once you're booked, you're officially a K.Marina bride.
How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 9–12 months in advance for peak season (June through October) and destination weddings. Off-season dates have more flexibility, but we encourage early inquiry regardless — our team fills up year-round.
How far do you travel?
+
We serve Kirkland, Bellevue, Woodinville, Seattle, and the surrounding Eastside and greater Washington area. Travel fees apply for locations beyond our standard service radius. We also take destination weddings — just reach out to discuss.
What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation and rescheduling policies are outlined in full in your contract. In general, retainers are non-refundable but may be applied to a rescheduled date depending on availability. We handle every situation with care and transparency.
I have inquired — will my date be held?

Not until your contract is signed and your retainer is received. We respond to all inquiries promptly and will let you know your options. If your date is still available, we will move quickly to secure it for you.

We use a curated selection of professional-grade, long-wearing brands chosen for their performance across all skin types and tones. Our kits include luxury and professional staples that ensure your look is both beautiful and lasting from ceremony through reception.
Do you offer airbrush makeup?

Yes. Airbrush foundation is available and is a popular choice for brides who want a seamless, camera-ready finish that photographs beautifully. We will discuss at your trial whether it is the right choice for your skin and look.
What is included in the touch-up kit?

Every bride receives a complimentary touch-up kit with the essentials to keep your look fresh throughout the day — typically including a lip product, blotting papers, setting powder, and any key products used in your look.
